Series Five manuals are not available on GE's website. You can't buy replacement parts for it anymore. I'd also suggest that if this machine is critical to your plant's operation that you consider replacing the Series Five. The software and programming are very similar to the Series Six, so if can find somebody with Series Six experience, that person should be able to help you with the Series Five. I'd suggest a 386 vintage machine and DOS 5.0 or thereabouts. You may need an older DOS computer to have any chance of success. The correct procedure was to boot from the original disk 1 and then use the "Duplicate Master" procedure to make a runnable version. The disks that you're using may have been copied from the original master disks. Is there any 3rd party software that can connect to the series 5 plc?ġ.
